WILD FLOWERS...These paintings have been described as having the look of encaustic watercolors. The playful interwoven shapes are hypnotic and relaxing. In person, their surfaces have the depth of polished stone. The technique is created by layering and troweling acrylic polymers embedded with pigment until the surface takes on a glass-like finish.

UNDER THE INFLUENCE...of jazz
Drawings are like short stories to a novelist. A way to create brief "what if" scenarios without committing a lot of time and resources. Sometimes these ideas can grow big overnight and become the genesis of full paintings or series.
Drawing also forms the bones of my paintings and helps me to keep in touch with my brushstroke which is the calligraphic signature of my style.
